If you’re like most Entrepreneurs, when you hear the magic words “New MLM Company”, your pulse rate increases and your palms start to sweat.

As an Entrepreneur, you understand that in an MLM business structure, the Entrepreneurs who are the first to the game can secure placement near the top of the organizational structure, which in turn gives them the greatest chance of success.

However, not all new MLM companies are created equally. Some are destined for greatness, while others are doomed to failure. As you assess a new mlm company, what are the key characteristics that you can use to separate the future “winners” from the sure-fire “losers”.

When a novice Entrepreneur considers a brand new mlm company, they will often erroneously first focus on things like the compensation plan. Of course, having a powerful compensation plan is a key to success in any mlm, new or not.

However, when you are assessing a brand new mlm company, the compensation plan is NOT the first thing you should be examining. Rather, your sole attention and focus should be on the new mlm company’s product.

You see, most new network marketing companies will have strikingly similar compensation plans. Generally speaking, you can make plenty of money in any network marketing company.

What really separates new mlm companies is their product. That is where your attention must be focused as you consider the merits of the new network marketing company.

Here are a few things to consider:

1. Is it a truly “stand alone” product? A stand-along product is one that would readily sell in the open competitive market without a business opportunity attached to it at the same price that you must pay for it as part of the business. Would the average person be willing to pay $60 for that bottle of juice, or $30 for that lotion, if it were sitting on a shelf at the store?  If the answer is “no”, then the product is NOT stand alone. Unfortunately, truly stand alone products are very difficult to find in a new MLM company.

However, you can sometimes stumble across a new mlm company that has one…

2. How saturated is the market? How many competitors are out there selling essentially the same product or service? The problem with most new mlm companies is they tend to jump on existing bandwagons. One company comes up with a revolutionary idea for a new mlm company, and within a matter of weeks copy-cat competitors are springing out of the woodwork. Take for example the “purple juice” industry.  In this industry, you have Tahitian Noni who was largely responsible for creating the “purple juice” market. And within a few years, you started to see competitors plunging into the market place:  Xango, MonaVie, Exfuze, Yoli, Maakoa, Zrii, etc, etc, etc.

The fact is, in order give yourself the greatest chance of success in a new MLM company, you must find a new network marketing company that offers a truly unique product, that will be noticed and won’t be lost in the shuffle. But, again, most new mlm companies are simply copying an existing product or service from another mlm company. But every once in a while a new mlm company comes along that truly redefines the Home Business industry.

3. How large is the market for the product? A new mlm company can offer a product that is completely unique, and is absolutely stand-alone…but if only a tiny fraction of the population would be interested in the product, then the demand for the product simply won’t be there, and your new mlm is doomed to failure. Really, this is a business basic – to give yourself the highest chance of success, don’t try to create demand for a product – instead, find an existing need, with existing demand, and fill that need.

When you are lucky enough to stumble across a new MLM that features a product that meets these attributes, that features a truly stand alone product, in a market with sufficient demand but that isn’t already saturated by competitors, then a true Entrepreneur will take instant action and jump in with both feet.

Fighting for search engine rankings is a constant battle for most Home Business Owners.

Sure, some will slip through the cracks…but there are steps
you can take to keep away the pretenders, and attract TRUE
PROFESSIONALS to your organization.

by simply being careful about the words you choose to use in
your marketing.

TIP #1
“Work Condition” Your Content

Pretenders are LAZY. they don’t want to WORK. They are
looking for a GET RICH QUICK SCHEME – and they
expect YOU to give it to them.

Once they weasel their way into your organization, they will
absolutely suck the life out of you as they leech up all of your
valuable time and energy.

So how do you keep them out?

By “Work Conditioning” all of your marketing. Tell people,
up front and FLAT OUT, that what you are doing is NOT
EASY.

Tell them that there is HARD WORK involved – that what
you are doing and/or selling is simply NOT for those who
aren’t serious or dedicated Entrepreneurs.

If you want to keep PRETENDERS (a.k.a. Time Leechers)
out of your OWN organization, then AVOID THESE
NEXT TWO WORDS LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Do not EVER use these words in ANY of your content or
your ads…these are LEECH MAGNETS (and Entrepreneur
repellents)

Easy (i.e. easy money, easy profits, easy income)
Fast  (i.e. fast money, fast profits, fast income)

And just imagine if you combined them?

Fast & Easy Money

Just exactly WHO do you think you’ll be attracting by focusing
on these two Entreprenerial-spirit-murdering words?

That’s right – PRETENDERS (aka Time Leeches, aka Opportunity
Seekers, aka Get Rich Quick SUCKERS)

And guess who is turned OFF by the ideas of “fast” and “easy”?

Right Again – Home Business Professionals (aka Entrepreneurs).

You see, a true Entrepreneur will realize that building a successful
home business will be neither “fast” nor “easy” – and so when they
see these words, they instantly associate them with another word
that will drive them away like Richard Simmons from a “Long
Pants Convention”:

SCAM

So the first tip is let people know that there will be REAL WORK
involved, and that will keep AWAY the people who don’t WANT
to work…that want everything “fast” and “easy”, and who also want
YOU to do everything.

And it will attract the very people that you WANT in your
organization:

Home Business Professionals – Entrepreneurs like Yourself.

Tip #2
Don’t Be Afraid Of Using An Intelligent Vocabulary:

There’s an old adage that when you’re writing ads, stick with a 5th
Grade Vocabulary (or lower) – unless you’re marketing to English
Professors!

This is usually true…when you’re selling SOMETHING.

But this is NOT true when you’re trying to attract Professionals to
your organization.

Professionals are typically smart, educated people. That is the
kind of person that you want to be Gravitationally Attracted to your
organization.

They aren’t afraid of “big” words – and they actually understand
what they mean.

I’m not saying that you should construct your content to read like
a  college essay – for the most part, you should still keep your
sentences and paragraphs short, your points concise, and your
vocabulary simple.

But you should sprinkle “Attraction” words into your content and
sales copy at opportune times – right as you’re making your key
points, and during what is supposed to be your most influential
“direct response”.

But it’s important to remain Conversational. If you’re talking to a
“real world” professional, just having a normal conversation with
them,they don’t sound like they are giving a Doctoral Dissertation.

But at the same time, you can tell that they are intelligent, just
by the vocabulary they use naturally in their conversation. And if
YOU are an intelligent person, if YOU are a professional…then
you’re naturally attracted to them.

But if you’re NOT, then you are repelled by them… usually because
you’re INTIMIDATED by them.

So as you promote your Business Opportunity, don’t be afraid to use
four-syllable words.

Want a practice idea?  Look this word up in the dictionary, and then
try to fit it NATURALLY into your content that you use to promote
your business:

TRANSCENDENTAL

See if you can do it…

(note:  My son won his school’s spelling bee as a 4th Grader by
spelling transcendental. If a 10-year-old can spell it, then YOU
can learn what it means and USE IT)

TIP #3
Don’t Market Money…Market PROSPERITY

Most Home Business Professional “Wannabes” market in the same tired
old ways – they throw CASH around on their websites – promises of
GLORIOUS RICHES with seemingly no effort whatsoever.

On the perpetrating sites, you’ll see Benjamin Franklins raining
down from the sky, hot women draped sensually (see, you can weave
BIG words into your content!  THAT’s not a “5th Grader Word”!)
across the hood of an exotic sports car, and…well, you get the
drift.

But the problem with this type of marketing is it attracts those
Opportunity Suckers (notice how I turned that one?), and it repels
Business Professionals like a bus full of nuns from “Thunder Down
Under” (look it up).

If you want to attract PROFESSIONALS, then you need to avoid Dollar
Bill Waterfalls and other “Bling” – and instead, focus your
marketing on:

True Prosperity.

But what is Prosperity? What does that mean?  And how do you market
it?

Unfortunately, that is a subject that is far too broad (not to
mention too important) to cover in just an email.

Instead, this is a subject that should be demonstrated visually in
a live, interactive environment.

Failure is like that imaginary friend that you had in kindergarten – you know, the one who always kept getting you in trouble? Yep, that’s Failure.

Does this sound strange? A comparison between Failure and your imaginary friend? Probably.

But hear me out. Failure doesn’t exist. Never has, never will.

Just like Big Foot, Leprechauns, and unbiased journalism, there is NO SUCH THING AS FAILURE.

Just in case you don’t believe me, consider this: What is Cold? Is it a thing? Do you have to do something to get it? Do you make Cold?

No, you don’t. Cold is emptiness, nothingness.

Cold doesn’t exist. Cold is nothing more than the absence of heat.

Darkness doesn’t exist. Darkness is a myth. Darkness is an empty void.

Darkness is nothing more than the absense of light.

You see, Cold and Darkness are nothing. Heat and Light are something.

If you have nothing, then you have cold and darkness. You have to generate or create heat and light.

All that you have to do to get cold and darkness is…nothing.

Failure is the same. Failure is nothing. Failure is a myth, a fairy tale.

Failure is a scary story that you tell your kids late at night.

Failure is simply the absence of Success. All that you need to do to get Failure is…nothing.

Success is real. It is the “something” that fills up the empty Failure void. Like Heat and Light, Success is something that you must generate, or create.

You don’t generate failure. To find Failure, you don’t have to DO anything.

But you must DO something to find Success.

And so, if you have followed along with my logic, Failure, just like Cold and Darkness, is JUST like the Tooth Fairy – it simply doesn’t exist.

So next time you are about to give up, about to experience Failure in your business pursuits, ask yourself this:

“Why am I about to give in to something that doesn’t exist?”

Refusing to give in to failure is the surest way to reach success.

After all, how many successful people do you know who gave up before they became successful?

Here’s to hoping all of you never, EVER, give in to the great myth of Failure.
